You don't have to adopt to be a hero in a shelter animals life. If you simply have some free time or resources, check out 5 ways you can help shelter animals in need without having to adopt.
Rescues are always in need of foster homes for their animals. If you have the time and room available you consider letting a homeless dog or cat into your home until a permanent home is found.
If you have some extra time, consider volunteering at a local shelter. Duties might include cleaning up kennels, making phone calls, mailing applications, or taking the dogs for a walk.
Shelters are always in need of extra beds, toys, leashes, bowls and so much more. If you don't have these items on hand, money donations are always appreciated.
If you're a skilled photographer, you can help out animals in need by conducting mini photo sessions (how fun!). These photos will then be used in helping these adorable fur babies find their forever homes.
You can help out shelters by helping them transport the animals to foster and forever homes. Sometimes families can't make the trip and when the community comes together, these animals have a better chance at finding homes that aren't always local.
